Destiny 2 How to get Revision Zero & Exotic Catalysts

How to get the new Destiny 2 Exotic Pulse Rifle and its Catalysts

Destiny 2’s Season of the Seraph brought a new exotic pulse rifle, the Revision Zero. Like the Osteo Striga submachine gun from The Witch Queen, the Revision Zero is also crafted in Relic on Mars. But this one is a little different from other exotics because it offers an extensive range of customization options. And for the first time, this one has not one but four catalysts available.

The Revision Zero also has an interesting ability, hitting targets on weak spots accumulates targeting data. And once you have enough you can hold the reload button for a while and this pulse rifle flips up to a sniper rifle to fire some high-damage precision shots.

And if this season you came across the new Security Drones scattered across many locations and wonder how to destroy them. Well, you need to do it with this new exotic weapon, destroy all of them to unlock a secret door, but this is a matter for another post …

How to unlock Revision Zero in Destiny 2

Fortunately, to get your hands on Revision Zero you don’t need to enter a long quest full of steps, but this does not mean that will be easy.

What you have to do is progress to the main story quests in the Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph. Eventually, you get The Hidden Shape Exotic quest from the Holoprojector. Once you receive this quest a new activity will be available in the HELM, the Operation: Seraph’s Shield.

All you need to do to get the new exotic pulse rifle is complete this mission. It’s not too difficult but it’s a long one and can be tricky in some parts. Involves scanning objects, shooting buttons, enter in air vents, activate the right terminals, in order to progress to multiple rooms, with enemies. Can be completed alone, but is highly recommended to bring a fireteam to help you with the puzzles.

Once you finish the Seraph’s Shield mission for the first time and loot the final chest you be rewarded with the Deepsight Resonance version of the Revision Zero Exotic.

Now the next step in the quest is to Shape the weapon. For that you need is pattern, so use your red border pulse rifle until you can extract the pattern or simply dismantle it. Head to the enclave on Mars and craft Revision Zero.

How to get Revision Zero Catalysts

This exotic pulse rifle is similar to Osteo Striga, in the sense that its catalyst is crafted. However, it is the first weapon in Destiny 2 that has not one but four catalysts, are they:

  • Frenzy Refit (Feeding Frenzy): Each rapid kill with this weapon progressively increases reload speed for a short time.
  • Pressurized Refit (Under Pressure): Improved stability and accuracy as your magazine get lower.
  • Outlaw Refit (Outlaw): Precision kills greatly decrease reload time.
  • 4-Timer Refit (Fourth Time’s the Charm): Rapidly landing precision hits will return two rounds to the magazine.

In order to unlock them it’s necessary to complete a quest for each one of them, the Should You Choose to Accept It part 1 – 4. Those are weekly quests so you only can complete one per week.

At the time of publication of this post, only the first two are available.
