With this Warlock build you will be weakening the majority of your targets. Killing weaken targets create void breaches that give you Overshield and activate Devour. You want to throw overcharged grenades all the time to weaken targets and defeat waves of ads, for that the Contraverse Hold exotic arms help you a lot. Defeating enemies with grenades gives you volatile rounds to your void weapons.

When a target is being drained, you are granted grenade and melee energy (if running healing rift) or health (if running empowering rift). Defeating a target who is being drained by your Void Soul grants class ability energy.

Echo of Remnants – Your lingering grenade effects have increased duration.
Echo of Starvation – Picking up a void breach or an orb of power grants Devour.
Echo of Instability – Defeating targets with grenades grants Volatile Rounds to your void weapons.

In this Void Warlock build you will be constantly using Charged void grenades. The Contraverse Hold are great because they give you damage resistance while charging your grenade and causing damage with your charged void grenade returns grenade energy.
You need Void weapons for this Destiny 2 build, can be anyone of your choice. A great option is the old exotic Graviton Lance, killings with this pulse rifle create void projectiles that track targets.
