The focus of this Solar build is to constantly restore your grenade energy to have them all the time. You will also retrieve health and ability energy with your grenade kills. You can deal tremendous amounts of damage to bosses, by placing the Well of Radiance and dropping grenades one after the other interspersed with heavy weapon damage. Abilities
Super Ability – Well of Radiance
Class Ability – Healing Rift or Empowering Rift
Melee Ability – Celestial Fire
Grenade Ability – Fusion Grenade
Aspects
Touch of Flame – Your Healing, Solar, Firebolt, and Fusion Grenades have enhanced functionality. The Fusion Grenade, which is used in its build, explodes twice.
Icarus Dash – Dodge quickly while airborne. While Heat Rises is active, you have an additional dodge. While airborne, rapidly defeating targets with your Super or weapon grants Cure to you.
Fragments
Ember of Resolve – Solar grenade’s final blows restore your health.
Ember of Char – Your Solar ignitions spread scorch to affected targets.
Ember of Ashes – You apply more scorch stacks to targets.
Ember of Eruption – Your Solar ignitions have increased the area of effect.

The famous exotic chest Starfire Protocol, once again this one is mandatory for the best Destiny 2 Solar Warlock build. It gives you one extra Fusion Grenade and grants Rift energy on grenade kills. Empowered weapon damage restores your grenade energy. So with the Empowering Rift, you take the maximum advantage from this chest. However, in more challenging scenarios you can prefer the Healing Rift, is one less source of empowered damage but helps a lot when you tanking a lot of damage.
For the primary weapon, the choice goes to another exotic, Witherhoard. This one is great to take down adds, champions, bosses, … everything. The Witherhoard combines perfectly with Starfire Protocol. This grenade launcher causes damage over time and when you are inside an Empowering Rift or Well of Radiance this is considered empowered weapon damage, so you constantly get grenade energy.
Now for the cherry on top, you only need a Rocket Launcher with the Demolitionist perk, that reloads the weapon from reserves when you use the grenade. You can deal tremendous amounts of damage to bosses, by placing the Well of Radiance near the boss and repeating this loop as far as you can:
- Use Witherhoard.
- Use Rocket Launcher.
- Throw a Grenade
