Punisher Plasma Build for Helldivers 2

The new Cutting Edge Warbond brings some new interesting stuff to help Helldivers defend Democracy. One of them is the SG-8P Punisher Plasma plasma shotgun, great for taking down armored enemies, check here for a Helldivers 2 build with that.

The SG-8P Punisher Plasma is a Plasma weapon from the Cutting Edge Warbond. Although it’s considered a shotgun, in truth it’s more of a grenade launcher that shoots plasma rounds. His shots explode but affect only a small area so is not enough to deal with hordes and can not destroy bug holes or bot fabricators. Can penetrate medium armor, killing more resilient bugs with 3 to 5 shots, but it’s against Chargers that the Punisher Plasma can make the difference, hitting the ground below them is very effective, take him down with 4-5 shots. When it comes to robots, it is equally effective against most of them, the more armored you need to aim the weak points.

You need to keep your distance from the targets, but not too much, it’s a medium-range weapon. The arc trajectory of the projectile can be tricky at the beginning, you need to get used to the gun, but once you dominate you become lethal. This Plasma shotgun can be good, but to be effective you need to complement it with the right Stratagems and gear, check here the Punisher Plasma Build for Helldivers 2.

You need a support weapon to deal with hordes and close-range enemies, the M-105 Stalwart or Flame-40 Flamethrower are two great choices for that.

The Guard Dog Rover it’s always one of the best choices to deal with bugs, and when you need to fight robots in the name of Democracy the Shield Generator Pack is the choice.

For the remaining two Stratagems pick however you prefer or that is more adequate to the mission, like an Eagle Airstrike or 500KG Bomb for example.
