In this Hunter build you take advantage of the Jolt debuff to get damage resistance all the time. For that, you use the new exotic chest, Gifted Conviction that gives you DR by jolting enemies. But that’s not all, combining the Aspects, Fragments, and Mods effects you can get until 80% damage resistance bonus with all active. This is great for surviving in the most challenging content like grandmasters and solo lost sector.

Facet of Purpose – Picking up an Orb of Power grants either Amplified, Restoration, Frost Armor, Woven Mail, or Overshield based on the damage type of your equipped Super.
Facet of Solitude – Landing rapid precision hits emits a severing blast from the target. While transcendent, the severing blast is bigger.
Facet of Ruin – Increases the size and damage of the burst when you shatter a Stasis crystal or frozen target and increases the area of effect of solar ignitions.
Facet of Protection – While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While transcendent, the effect is increased.
Facet of Awakening – Rapidly defeating targets with Light or Darkness damage or Super final blows generates an elemental pickup of the matching damage type.

When activating Ascension throws bouncing explosives at nearby targets that jolt and damage them. But the main advantage is that gives you damage resistance by jolting targets, this effect is stacked up to 4 times.
To take the maximum advantage of this Hunter build you want a weapon with the Voltshot perk, reloading the weapon after defeating a target makes the next hit jolt the target. In that way, you activate your exotic chest damage reduction event without using Ascension.
