Hogwarts hides many secrets and puzzles
The vast open magical world of Hogwarts Legacy is full of secrets and puzzles for players to solve. If you’ve ever visited the Clock Tower, you might have noticed some doors with metal gates that open and close from time to time. In this guide, we show you how to open the Clock Tower doors in Hogwarts Legacy.
How to solve the Clock Tower Puzzle doors in Hogwarts Legacy
To solve the Clock Tower puzzle you need to have learned some spells first, Glacious or Arresto Momentum to stop the pendulum and Confringo or Incendio if you need to put it moving again. You also need to get Alohomora from Gladwin Moon’s “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament” quest to unlock the door that gives you access to the other floors.
Head to the Clock Tower located in the South Wing of Hogwarts Castle. What do we have here? There is a giant pendulum constantly moving, and four doors with metal gates distributed over 4 floors, use Revelio to highlight them.
Each door has a symbol, and on the ground below the pendulum, there are four symbols. You see the same symbols also in a metal bar on the pendulum path on the other floors. The secret to opening each door is to stop the pendulum with Glacious or Arresto Momentum at the right time when he passes by the same symbol on the door.
Once the pendulum is stopped at the right place the metal bar in front of the door opens and allows you to enter. Is there one door for each floor, attention that on the 1ºfloor you will find an eyeball chest so make sure you’ve got an invisibility potion or a Disillusionment spell before entering the room.
Below we leave the loot you will find in all doors in the Clock Tower, beginning from the ground floor:
- Firstdoor – Huge Decorated Table conjuration
- Second door – Disillusionment chest (500 Galleons)
- Third door – Fwooper Statue conjuration
- Fourth door – Random Legendary gear piece
